Russian missile and drone barrages killed 20 people and wounded at least 142 across Ukraine over the past 24 hours, the air force said, after earlier attacks this week left 20 dead.
Russia deployed 125 drones, 25 ballistic missiles and 10 hypersonic Zirkon missiles overnight, with the majority directed at Kyiv, where at least one person died and buildings caught fire. A strike on a postal facility near Kharkiv killed three, while guided bombs hit Kherson and Sumy, each killing at least one. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy estimated Russia used roughly 1,450 drones, 1,640 guided bombs and 99 missiles against Ukrainian regions this week.
Ukraine retaliated by striking three oil depots and a fuel facility in Russia's Stavropol region and hitting three Russian tankers in the Black Sea, while a separate attack halted oil loadings at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal.
