A Russian missile strike hit a Nova Poshta sorting terminal in a Kharkiv suburb on Saturday, killing four men and wounding 19 people, regional officials said. Three projectiles struck the facility, destroying the logistics hub and leaving 12 victims hospitalised, according to regional governor Oleh Sinehubov. The dead were aged 24, 25, 45 and 62.
Separately, a Russian Geran-3 drone struck a five-storey residential building in Izium, injuring 17 people including a woman and her one-year-old son, and damaging several apartment blocks and vehicles. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russia fired more than 40 missiles and 120 attack drones at Ukraine overnight, with Kyiv and its surroundings targeted by roughly two dozen missiles.
The barrage came a day after Ukrainian drones hit two Wildberries warehouses in Russia, killing at least eight. Zelenskiy said he held important talks with military commanders as protests over the dismissal of Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov entered a third day.
