President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi as Ukraine's new prime minister, formalising a government overhaul after parliament accepted his predecessor's resignation.

Overnight strikes killed seven people and wounded more than 67 across Odesa, Kherson, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Sumy regions, with power cuts reported in five provinces. A Russian drone struck a Naftogaz gas extraction facility in Kharkiv region, halting operations, while air force data showed defences downed five missiles and 115 of 130 drones. The dismissal of Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov sparked protests in Kyiv and other cities.

Meanwhile, Ukraine received 501 bodies of fallen soldiers in a repatriation facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross, part of an accelerated exchange process since peace talks resumed in early 2025.
