Russian forces struck the Ukrainian city of Sumy with guided aerial bombs on Saturday, killing at least five people including a 13-year-old girl and wounding 30, with several in critical condition, Sumy regional administration head Oleh Hryhorov reported on Telegram. Two of the bombs hit an area frequented by civilians.
Separately, a Russian strike targeting port infrastructure and civilian shipping in the Odesa region killed two people and wounded three. Missile attacks on Kyiv left at least 12 people injured.
In related regional developments, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced plans for a memorial wall in Warsaw dedicated to victims of wartime massacres by Ukrainian nationalists. In Moldova, President Maia Sandu nominated Vasile Tofan as the country's next prime minister.
