Russian airstrikes and drone attacks killed at least 10 people across Ukraine on Friday, with four dead including a 14-year-old boy in Kramatorsk after seven aerial bombs hit the eastern city and nearby Bilenke. One person died and 29 were wounded in Zaporizhzhia in the southeast, while separate attacks claimed lives in the Odesa and Kharkiv regions.
Overnight, Russia launched 137 drones at Ukraine, of which 114 were intercepted. Kyiv was also hit, with missile strikes on a residential area wounding at least six people including an 11-year-old child. Ukrainian forces responded with their own drone barrage, attacking 21 Russian oil tankers in the Sea of Azov and igniting fires at oil depots in Rostov and a refinery in Krasnodar. Moscow said it downed hundreds of Ukrainian drones.
At a NATO summit in Ankara this week, President Donald Trump pledged to allow Kyiv to manufacture U.S. Patriot interceptor missiles.
