Russian ballistic missiles killed at least six people, including two girls aged five and 12, in an overnight strike on a village near Kryvyi Rih, after earlier attacks last week hit cities across Ukraine.
An Iskander ballistic missile struck a private house on the outskirts of Kryvyi Rih early Thursday, killing four adults alongside the children and wounding at least eight others, including two boys. In Kyiv, ballistic missiles sparked fires across several districts and one person was confirmed dead. Missiles also hit two apartment complexes in Lviv, wounding six people.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had warned Wednesday evening that a massive Russian attack was highly likely overnight. Poland scrambled fighter jets to protect its airspace during the bombardment.
