The Yemeni army said it destroyed three Houthi boats laden with explosives in the Red Sea on Thursday, killing five militants operating a vessel equipped to launch drones, after last week's Houthi assaults on government positions.

The violence spread beyond Yemen's borders as Houthi forces struck a Saudi Aramco refinery in Jizan with two drones, achieving what the group described as a precise hit. In Taiz province, at least one government soldier was killed and another critically wounded in overnight clashes, while the Houthis targeted a military camp in Hadramout with booby-trapped drones, killing two and wounding 15.

UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher warned that Yemen's health system has reached breaking point, with authorities in Marib declaring a health emergency over a measles outbreak ranking as the world's second-largest this year. Yemen's UN ambassador Abdullah al-Saadi urged the Security Council to move beyond condemnation and enforce existing resolutions.
