A Russian drone strike on the village of Lebyazhe in the Kharkiv region killed a 66-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said, after the heaviest cross-border aerial exchanges since the war began. Six drones hit the village in the Chuhuiv district, wounding two others and destroying three homes while damaging more than 20 residential buildings.
Overnight, Russia launched 135 drones at Ukraine, with air defences downing or suppressing 107, while 27 strike drones hit 16 locations. Separate strikes wounded a 19-year-old in Zaporizhzhia and at least two people in Sumy.
Russia's defence ministry said it downed 325 Ukrainian drones, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed a Ukrainian hit on an oil refinery in the Perm region that sparked a fire. Air alerts temporarily suspended flights at several Moscow airports.
