A Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missile struck the Progress rocket and space centre in Russia's Samara region, hitting a key Roscosmos enterprise that manufactures launch vehicles and spacecraft components 900 kilometres from the border. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed damage to the Ust-Luga oil export terminal in Leningrad region and strikes on the Savasleyka airbase in Nizhny Novgorod region, after Ukraine intensified long-range bombardments of Russian military and energy infrastructure.
Samara's governor confirmed a mass missile attack caused industrial damage and casualties, while the Russian defence ministry said air defences destroyed 598 Ukrainian drones across 19 regions and Crimea. Ukrainian sources said the missiles were produced by domestic firm Fire Point.
Moscow responded by attacking port infrastructure in Odesa, Pivdenne and Izmail, and Russian strikes killed an infant and wounded 11 others in Dnipropetrovsk region.
