A Russian drone struck an ATB supermarket in Chernihiv on July 26, 2026, killing two people — including a nine-year-old girl — and wounding 13 others in the ZAZ district. The attack was part of a broader overnight assault in which Russia launched eight ballistic missiles and 136 drones at Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The overnight barrage hit multiple cities across the country. In Kharkiv, a drone-mounted Banderol missile struck a residential building, killing a 40-year-old woman and injuring up to 16 people, including a 10-year-old boy. In Zaporizhzhia, Russian guided aerial bombs killed one man and wounded six. A strike on a hypermarket in Kryvyi Rih sparked a fire across more than 16,000 square metres, and three people were injured in attacks on Kyiv.
