Paris Saint-Germain complete signing of Ferran Torres from Barcelona

· Sports ESPFRA

Paris Saint-Germain have formalised the transfer of World Cup winner Ferran Torres from Barcelona, announcing the deal on Saturday after an agreement in principle was reached earlier this week.

The Ligue 1 club confirmed Torres, 26, has signed a five-year contract running through 2031 and will wear the number nine shirt. The fee stands at around 50 million euros ($58 million), consistent with prior reports. Torres, who scored the winner in Spain's World Cup final victory over Argentina last month, departs after four seasons in Catalonia.

The sale is expected to free up funds for Barcelona to pursue Manchester City midfielder Rodri, following a recently rejected 55-million-pound bid.
