Paris Saint-Germain have re-signed defender Lucas Digne from Aston Villa on a three-year contract running through June 2029, the clubs confirmed Saturday. The French side activated a release clause of £8.5 million to secure the 33-year-old left-back, who passed his medical on 20 July.
Digne spent three years at PSG early in his career, making 44 appearances across the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons. He later joined Aston Villa in 2022, where he played 182 matches and scored four goals in the Premier League over five seasons. The France international, who has earned 64 caps for his country, returns to a PSG side that won the 2026 Champions League on penalties against Arsenal.
The transfer comes days before PSG face Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday in Salzburg, Austria.
