Benfica have secured the season-long loan of Colombian forward Jhon Durán from Al Nassr for the 2026/27 campaign, the Portuguese club confirmed. The deal carries a loan fee of €6.1 million (£5.19m) and includes a €30 million option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old is Benfica's fourth signing for the new season, joining Gabriel Índio, Clément Lenglet and Jakub Kaminski at the Estádio da Luz. Durán has been in constant movement since Al Nassr purchased him from Aston Villa in January 2025 for €77 million. His loan spell at Fenerbahçe, where he won the Turkish Super Cup and scored five goals in 21 appearances, was cut short in February 2026 so he could join Zenit, helping the Russian side to the Premier League title with one goal in six league matches.
Durán began his professional career with Envigado in 2019 before moving to Major League Soccer with Chicago Fire in 2021, followed by a transfer to Aston Villa in January 2023.
