Ferran Torres has left the door open to a departure from Barcelona this summer, despite being under contract until June 2027, as Paris Saint-Germain maintain their interest in the Spain forward.
Torres, who scored the winning goal in last month's World Cup final against Argentina, said he expects to report to Barcelona for training on 12 August but acknowledged that "in football you never know." PSG, managed by Luis Enrique, lead the pursuit, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also linked. Barcelona insist they are not contemplating his exit and had planned to address a contract renewal after the transfer window closes in September. Torres has called on the club to prove they want him.
Manager Hansi Flick said the club's transfer plans depend partly on Torres's decision, as Barcelona reshaped their attack following Robert Lewandowski's departure. Separately, Torres denied any political connotation behind a "Make Spain Great Again" cap worn during celebrations.
