Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund on a contract running until 2031, with a fixed fee of 22 million euros plus seven million in add-ons. The Catalan club negotiated the price down from an initial 40 million euros and included a 20 percent sell-on clause favouring Dortmund.
The 24-year-old winger missed Dortmund's pre-season medical tests after the German club granted him permission to negotiate his departure. Adeyemi, whose existing contract expired in 2027, scored seven goals last season across all competitions and is expected to join Barcelona when their pre-season begins on 13 July.
The transfer follows Barcelona's signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle and comes as the club returns to La Liga's 1:1 financial fair play rule, aided by a bond issuance backed by future broadcasting revenue.
