FC Barcelona has agreed a long-term contract with Karim Adeyemi, positioning the 24-year-old Germany international for a summer move away from Borussia Dortmund, according to multiple reports.
Adeyemi, who has 11 caps for Germany, has informed Dortmund of his desire to leave and rejected a contract extension at the Bundesliga club, where he is under contract until 2027. Barcelona coach Hansi Flick is pushing for the signing, and a transfer to the Spanish champions is reportedly Adeyemi's only option this summer.
Dortmund is seeking a fee between €40 million and €50 million, but Barcelona's formal offer stands at roughly €20 million, leaving a significant gap between the clubs. Adeyemi joined Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg four years ago for around €30 million and currently earns approximately €6.5 million per season.
