More than 390 Ukrainian drones were launched toward the Moscow region overnight, in one of the largest aerial assaults on the Russian capital since the war began. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said air defenses destroyed 81 drones approaching the city between late Monday and early Tuesday.

A residential building in the town of Chekhov was struck, Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said, though local officials reported no casualties. A pipeline at a facility belonging to Hydrostalkonstruktsiya in Chekhov was also hit, and a Wildberries logistics center was struck elsewhere in the region. More than 70 drones were downed in a single hour between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m.

Air defenses intercepted 12 drones heading directly toward Moscow, according to officials. The attack comes as both sides have increasingly relied on long-range drone strikes deep inside each other's territory.
