Mauritian rider Kim Le Court claimed her second career stage victory at the Tour de France Femmes, winning a sprint finish in Tournon-sur-Rhône on Thursday after recovering from a mechanical issue on the Col de Lalouvesc that forced her to change bikes 15 km from the finish. Le Court rejoined the breakaway and outsprinted Cedrine Kerbaol and Puck Pieterse for the stage six win.
Marlen Reusser retained the yellow jersey with a 12-second lead over Demi Vollering, with Katarzyna Niewiadoma a further 1min 5sec back, as the overall favourites finished 28 seconds behind the breakaway. Pieterse extended her lead in the Queen of the Mountains classification to 47 points, a record total in the race.
Friday's stage seven concludes on the summit of Mont Ventoux via the 15.7 km Bedoin climb at an average gradient of 8.8 percent.
