Demi Vollering became the first rider to win the Tour de France Femmes twice, sealing overall victory on Sunday with a solo stage win on the ninth and final stage after overturning Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney's narrow lead.
Vollering had captured the yellow jersey in Saturday's penultimate stage to Nice, attacking at the base of the Chemin de l'Arieta to claim both the stage and an eight-second general classification advantage. The comeback followed her defeat on Mont Ventoux on Friday, where Niewiadoma had built a 15-second buffer. Niewiadoma alleged she was obstructed by a teammate of Vollering at the foot of the final climb on Saturday.
On Sunday, Vollering dropped Niewiadoma on the last steep ascent and finished more than a minute clear to claim her third stage victory of the fifth edition, adding the 2026 title to her 2023 triumph. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot did not start Saturday's stage.
