Croatia's Illia Kovtun claimed the European artistic gymnastics all-around title with 82.833 points, edging out Russia's Arsenii Dukhno by a single thousandth of a point in a razor-thin finish. Dukhno, competing under a neutral flag in his first senior championship, scored 82.832. Daniel Marinov took bronze with 81.899 points.
Kovtun, who took Croatian nationality in 2025, competed under the Croatian flag for the first time. The result follows World Gymnastics' decision in May 2026 to lift competition bans on Russian and Belarusian athletes, allowing both Russian gymnasts to participate under neutral designation.
In team qualifying, Belgium reached a European team final for the first time, finishing fifth with 241.060 points and securing qualification for the Rotterdam World Championships in October. Finland's team placed 15th, narrowly missing the world championship cutoff by 0.433 points, while Robert Kirmes finished fifth in the all-around at 80.999 but did not advance to apparatus finals.
