Juventus are poised to complete the signing of 18-year-old Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen, with the Bosnia-Herzegovina international due in Turin within 48 hours for medical tests. A contract has already been agreed and the transfer fee stands at roughly 35 million euros.
Alajbegovic is expected to sign a five-year deal after Juventus offered him a guaranteed starting position. The move represents a swift profit for Leverkusen, who triggered an 8 million euro buy-back clause to re-acquire the forward from RB Salzburg. He scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 44 appearances for Salzburg.
Juventus saw off competition from Chelsea, who reportedly offered up to 40 million euros for the teenager.
