Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Morocco defender Issa Diop from Fulham on a four-year contract running through 2030. The fee was not disclosed, though Portuguese outlet RTP reported it at approximately £8.5 million.
Diop, who switched his international allegiance from France to Morocco in March 2026, made his debut in a friendly against Ecuador and went on to start five matches at the 2026 World Cup. He scored a decisive stoppage-time goal against the Netherlands in the round of 16, forcing a penalty shootout victory as Morocco advanced to the quarter-finals.
Diop arrives with 173 Premier League appearances across his spells at West Ham United and Fulham. He becomes Ipswich's sixth signing of the window.
