Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has been awarded the European Golden Shoe for the second time, recognising him as the continent's top league goalscorer for the 2025/2026 season. The 33-year-old scored 36 Bundesliga goals to claim the prize, finishing well ahead of Manchester City's Erling Haaland and Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappé.

The trophy, presented by European Sports Media, was handed to Kane at the Bayern museum in the Allianz Arena by former club forward and 2006 World Cup winner Luca Toni. Kane becomes only the third Bayern player to win the award, after Gerd Müller and Robert Lewandowski. He described the past campaign as the best season of his career.

Kane, who has scored 146 goals in 147 appearances for Bayern since his 2023 arrival from Tottenham Hotspur, said contract extension talks would begin soon. Bayern open their competitive season in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
