Harry Kane has confirmed that discussions over a new contract with Bayern Munich will begin this week or next, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season. The striker returned to training on Sunday and expressed a relaxed approach to the negotiations despite entering the final year of his agreement.
Kane expects to feature in Saturday's Supercup clash against Borussia Dortmund. He arrives in strong form after scoring 61 goals in 51 competitive matches last season, a haul that included 36 Bundesliga strikes to claim the league's top-scorer award.
The 33-year-old joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for a fee of around 100 million euros and has since helped the club secure two Bundesliga titles, one DFB-Pokal, and one Supercup. Across his tenure in Munich, he has recorded 146 goals and 31 assists in 147 appearances.
