Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was presented with four Guinness World Records certificates at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday, recognising milestones that have redefined goal-scoring benchmarks in European football.
The 26-year-old reached 100 Premier League goals in just 111 appearances, faster than any player in the competition's history, a mark he set on 2 December 2025. He also holds the record for most goals in a 38-match Premier League season with 36, surpassing Mohamed Salah's 32 from 2017/18 during his debut campaign. Beyond domestic football, Haaland scored 19 goals in the Uefa Nations League between September 2020 and November 2024, and matched the Champions League single-game record with five goals against RB Leipzig on 14 March 2023.
The ceremony comes ahead of Manchester City's FA Community Shield final against Arsenal on Sunday, 16 August. Off the pitch, Haaland's profile surged during the 2026 World Cup, gaining roughly 24 million new Instagram followers.
