Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the club-record signing of 19-year-old Croatian defender Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham Hotspur, in a deal worth up to £50 million including add-ons. Tottenham retain a 20 per cent sell-on clause and matching rights on the player, who becomes their fourth-biggest sale behind Harry Kane, Gareth Bale and Kyle Walker.
Vuskovic, who never made a first-team appearance for Spurs, spent last season on loan at Hamburg where he played 30 matches. He has signed a five-year contract with an option for a further season, joining a Brighton side managed by former St. Pauli coach Fabian Hürzeler. The move was driven by the teenager's desire for regular first-team football.
Separately, Inter Milan are reportedly interested in Tottenham full-back Djed Spence.
