Manager Enzo Maresca acknowledged that all teams need a player like Rodri but noted transfers remain possible until the window closes. Barcelona, who also signed wingers Karim Adeyemi and Anthony Gordon, have given themselves one more week to pursue Julián Álvarez before the league opener on 23 August.
