Chelsea have informed Manchester City they must submit a £120 million offer for Enzo Fernández by 5pm on Friday if they wish to sign the midfielder. The Argentina international, who has six years remaining on his contract, has been identified as City's next marquee midfield target after the club completed a £116 million deal for Elliott Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
City are also close to securing Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille for around £85 million and have announced the signing of goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli on a two-year contract. Meanwhile, Barcelona have submitted an improved bid of approximately €60 million (£51.3m) for Rodri, up from an initial €45 million offer that City rejected.
Elsewhere, Hull City have signed Senegal defender Nobel Mendy from Rayo Vallecano for a fee exceeding £20 million and acquired Australia international Lucas Herrington from Colorado Rapids.
