Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company will invest an additional $100 billion in Arizona, Chief Executive C.C. Wei announced Thursday, after the chipmaker posted a fifth straight quarter of record profits. The new commitment brings TSMC's total planned US investment to $265 billion and will fund four additional wafer fabrication plants and advanced packaging facilities, producing chips at 2-nanometer and more advanced process nodes.

The expansion will give TSMC a final US footprint of 10 semiconductor fabs and two packaging plants in Arizona. The announcement came as the company raised its 2026 capital expenditure budget to as much as $64 billion and forecast 40% revenue growth for the year.

The expanded US presence follows an agreement in which the United States cut tariffs on Taiwanese goods to 15% in exchange for the investment.
