Apple Inc. and Broadcom Inc. have extended their chip supply partnership through 2031 in a multi-year agreement expected to exceed $30 billion, underscoring Broadcom's position as a cornerstone of Apple's hardware supply chain.
Under the deal, Broadcom will develop and supply custom ASIC silicon products spanning multiple generations of Apple devices, including wireless components for cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth networks. The partnership involves the production of more than 15 billion U.S.-made chips and includes a $1.5 billion expansion of Broadcom's facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. The agreement represents the largest component of Apple's $600 billion, four-year U.S. investment plan announced in 2025.
Apple, which accounts for roughly 20% of Broadcom's annual revenue, is also incorporating Broadcom technology into in-development AI server chips targeted for rollout as early as next year. Broadcom shares rose between 4% and 5% in premarket trading following the announcement.
