Russian forces unleashed more than 200 missiles and drones across Ukraine overnight, heavily damaging Odesa after earlier strikes killed at least two in Dnipropetrovsk and three near Kyiv.
Ballistic missiles and Shahed drones struck Odesa early Sunday, wounding at least eight people, damaging residential buildings and infrastructure, and cutting electricity. Air defences intercepted 174 drones and five cruise missiles from a barrage that included 202 Shahed drones and seven ballistic, anti-ship and anti-radar missiles. Russian attacks also hit Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district, killing at least two.
Ukrainian drone strikes on the Russian border city of Belgorod wounded at least 13 people, including two children, according to acting governor Alexander Shuvayev. President Volodymyr Zelensky said North Korea is preparing to deploy 30,000 to 50,000 troops to allied Russian territory.
