A Ukrainian drone strike hit a crowded beach near the southern Russian resort village of Arkhipo-Osipovka on Monday, killing at least seven people including three children and wounding around 40, according to Russian officials. Krasnodar Governor Venyamin Kondratyev accused Kyiv of a deliberate strike on civilians, calling it a tragedy. The death toll was revised upward from six to seven, with 17 people hospitalised. Video verified by Reuters showed the drone hitting the shoreline, though it remains unclear whether the craft was intercepted by electronic warfare or diverted from a nearby naval base. Ukraine has not commented on the attack.
In a separate incident, Ukraine said a Russian strike killed three people in the eastern city of Kryvyi Rih, while Russian ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv at the weekend left at least nine dead and dozens injured.
