Amy Hunt won the women's 100m at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, clocking 11.00 seconds to edge Poland's Ewa Swoboda, who took silver in 11.02, and Belgium's Delphine Nkansa, who claimed bronze in 11.06.
In the 100m hurdles, 31-year-old Nadine Visser secured her first European outdoor medal in dramatic fashion, edging defending champion Pia Skrzyszowska by one thousandth of a second after both ran 12.67. France's Laeticia Bapté took bronze in 12.73.
Elsewhere, Great Britain's mixed 4x400m relay team won silver behind Norway, who set a championship record of 3:09.62. Max Burgin and Ben Pattison advanced in the 800m, Lina Nielsen won her 400m hurdles heat, and France's Étienne Daguinos claimed 5000m bronze.
