Fulham have completed the signing of Northern Ireland midfielder Shea Charles from Southampton in a deal worth up to £30 million, making him the most expensive Northern Irish footballer in history.

Charles, a Manchester City academy graduate, has signed a five-year contract with a club option to extend by 12 months. The fee structure includes £26 million upfront with £4 million in potential add-ons. The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, where he featured in all 46 league fixtures and was voted Player of the Season. He becomes Fulham's fourth signing of the summer under new manager Alvaro Arbeloa and will wear the No. 19 shirt.

Fulham, who finished 11th last season, open their 2026-27 Premier League campaign against Chelsea on 24 August.
