The French Football Federation has revealed the coaching staff that will support Zinedine Zidane as he takes charge of the national team, with former World Cup-winning goalkeeper Fabien Barthez appointed as goalkeeping coach.
Barthez, who earned 87 caps between 1994 and 2006 and won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 with France, succeeds Franck Raviot in the role. David Bettoni will serve as Zidane's assistant, alongside Hamidou Msaidie as assistant coach, while Grégory Dupont takes on the position of strategy and performance adviser. Hervé Collado replaces Franck Le Gall as team doctor, and a liaison officer from the interior ministry will be assigned to oversee squad security.
Zidane, named head coach on July 28, will lead his first session when the squad assembles for the Nations League in late September, with a debut match against Turkey scheduled for Sept. 25.
