A 59-year-old man from Silkeborg, Denmark, suffered arm injuries requiring medical treatment on Saturday evening after a car thief drove off with him hanging from the vehicle's window in Grenaa.
The incident began around 18:00 when the owner received an angry phone call about his company car's driving near Trustrup on the Djursland peninsula. He later spotted the stolen vehicle parked outside a REMA 1000 supermarket on Århusvej. When he attempted to intervene, the thief accelerated with the owner clinging to the window. The car struck a lamppost at an OK gas station, throwing the man from the vehicle, before crashing into an electrical cabinet.
The East Jutland Police are searching for the suspect, saying they are following strong leads.
