A cold front sweeping southeast from the North Sea is bringing rain and cooler temperatures to Denmark and northern Germany on Monday, though forecasters expect a sharp rebound toward summer heat by week's end.

In Denmark, the front arrives Monday morning with showers spreading across Funen and Zealand by midday, delivering two to seven millimetres of rain, locally up to 10. Temperatures will remain subdued at 16–21 degrees with gusty winds reaching near-gale force in the afternoon. Conditions stabilise from Wednesday as a high-pressure system moves in, and by Friday Denmark could see 24–30 degrees under clear skies.

In neighbouring Germany, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern faces dense cloud and scattered showers, with isolated thunderstorms possible before clearing Tuesday. Further south, the German Weather Service forecasts highs up to 34 degrees Monday in Brandenburg's Niederlausitz, with severe thunderstorms possible in southern Brandenburg and elevated wildfire risk amid persistent dry conditions.
