Christian Nørgaard has completed a move from Arsenal to Everton for an undisclosed fee, ending a single-season spell at the Premier League champions. The Denmark international has signed a two-year deal running through summer 2028 with the Merseyside club, who finished 13th last season.
Nørgaard, 31, made 20 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal but featured in only seven Premier League matches. He did not play in Arsenal's pre-season loss to Real Betis on Wednesday as the transfer took shape. The midfielder retired from international duty in May after 41 caps and two goals for Denmark, a run that included the Euro 2020 semi-final campaign.
Arsenal have moved swiftly to fill the vacancy, agreeing a £75 million deal with Newcastle for Bruno Guimarães. The Brazilian is expected to undergo a medical later this week before finalising his switch to north London.
