Arsenal completed the signing of Greece international forward Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge on Wednesday, paying a Belgian Pro League record fee of £34 million for the 24-year-old. Tzolis signed a five-year contract running until 2031, arriving as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who departed for Besiktas earlier this month.
The move surpasses the previous Belgian league record held by Charles de Ketelaere's transfer. Tzolis was directly involved in a league-high 40 goals last season as Club Brugge won the title, and he was named the Belgian league's best player in each of the last two campaigns. Across 108 appearances for Club Brugge, he recorded 43 goals and 45 assists in all competitions.
Tzolis began his professional career at PAOK and spent time at Norwich City, Twente and Fortuna Düsseldorf before establishing himself in Belgium. He has scored nine goals in 34 caps for Greece.
