Arsenal agree deal for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis in Belgian Pro League record transfer

Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for a fee around £34 million, a sum that constitutes a record for the Belgian Pro League and makes Tzolis Greece's most expensive player.

Tzolis is replacing Leandro Trossard, who departed for Besiktas earlier this summer. The 22-year-old registered 22 goals and 29 assists across all competitions last season for Club Brugge. He becomes Arsenal's second signing of the summer, following the arrival of goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

Arsenal also retain a long-term interest in Atlético Madrid's Julián Álvarez and have identified Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers as a preferred option for a versatile forward role, with Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola considered an alternative.
