Arsenal are on the verge of completing the signing of Illan Meslier on a free transfer, with the former Leeds United goalkeeper at the club's training centre to undergo a medical and finalise the move on Tuesday.
Meslier, who left Leeds at the end of June after seven years with the club, is expected to serve as Arsenal's third-choice goalkeeper behind David Raya and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The arrival of Meslier is set to trigger the departure of Tommy Setford on loan before the end of the summer window, as the club would be open to letting the young shot-stopper gain experience elsewhere this season.
