Arsenal have signed Spain goalkeeper Misa Rodriguez on a free transfer, the club confirmed on 22 July 2026, making her their seventh arrival of the summer window and the latest in a series of high-profile additions that include Georgia Stanway, Selina Cerci, Ona Batlle, and Géraldine Reuteler.
The 27-year-old, who will wear the number 16 shirt, departs Real Madrid with a club-record 215 appearances and the captaincy she assumed in 2025. A two-time Zamora Trophy winner, Rodriguez spent six seasons at Madrid after arriving from Las Palmas, where she was born in July 1999.
Rodriguez has earned 34 caps since 2021 and featured in three matches during Spain's 2023 Women's World Cup triumph. She left Madrid at the end of last season before completing her move to north London.
