Federico Chiesa has declared his desire to stay at Liverpool and pursue a new chapter under manager Andoni Iraola, following a frustrating two seasons in which the Italian winger struggled for meaningful game time.
Chiesa, who joined from Juventus in a £12.5m deal in 2024, made just one Premier League start last season and was limited to five starts across 36 appearances under Arne Slot. The former Bournemouth manager was appointed in June after Slot was dismissed, despite having won the league title in his debut campaign and secured Champions League qualification on the final day of the 2025-26 season.
Chiesa signalled his intent with a fine finish in Liverpool's 4-2 pre-season friendly win over Sunderland in Nashville on Saturday, as the club enters a transitional period that also saw Mohamed Salah depart and Victor Munoz arrive from Osasuna.
