Celtic have completed the signing of German midfielder Mika Baur from Paderborn, making him the Scottish champions' fourth arrival of the summer window. The 22-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with the option of an additional season.
The deal is valued at approximately £4.5 million upfront, with up to £2.3 million in potential add-ons, with German reports placing the total package as high as eight million euros. Baur scored four goals and provided six assists across 36 appearances last season, helping Paderborn secure promotion to the Bundesliga via a play-off victory over Wolfsburg.
Baur, who has represented Germany at every youth level up to under-21, joined Paderborn in 2024 after coming through the academy at Freiburg. His father, Markus Baur, is a former Germany handball international who won Olympic silver in 2004 and world championship gold in 2007.
