Max Verstappen has signed a new long-term contract with Red Bull Racing that keeps him with the team through the end of 2030, the organization announced Thursday. The deal extends his stay by four additional seasons and will mark 15 years with Red Bull upon its completion.
The announcement ends months of speculation, as Verstappen had been linked to moves to Mercedes and McLaren before the extension. Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies called Verstappen the best driver on the grid in praising the renewal.
Verstappen, a four-time consecutive world champion from 2021 to 2024, lost the 2025 title to Lando Norris at the final race and currently sits sixth in the 2026 standings, 110 points behind leader Kimi Antonelli. The commitment comes as the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort prepares for its final edition this weekend.
