Verstappen deflects questions over Red Bull future amid contract exit clause speculation

Max Verstappen has refused to address speculation about his future at Red Bull Racing, telling reporters at Spa-Francorchamps on Wednesday that he has nothing to say about his sporting plans ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix. The three-time world champion sits seventh in the drivers' standings with a 103-point deficit to leader Kimi Antonelli entering the season's 10th round on Thursday.

Verstappen's contract runs through 2028 but is understood to contain a performance-triggered exit clause that activates if he falls outside the top three at the summer break. Asked about recent staff departures at Red Bull, Verstappen said the team must focus on resolving current problems and finding new talent.

Sky pundit Ralf Schumacher suggested Verstappen could leave Red Bull and sit down with McLaren, though no such talks have been confirmed. Verstappen dismissed the rumours with characteristic brevity, insisting there is "nothing to say" from his side.
