Rail services across the Oslo region were disrupted on Tuesday morning by infrastructure faults on three separate lines, causing delays and cancellations for commuters.
The most significant issue is on the Hovedbanen line at Grorud, where faults on both the track and an adjoining switch have forced trains onto a single track. The same defect affected the route throughout Monday. A damaged overhead contact wire between Lysaker and Skøyen has also reduced that section to single-track operation, while the Oslo–Ski line is experiencing separate track faults.
Passengers travelling between Oslo Central Station and Lillestrøm are advised to use the Airport Express train as an alternative. Vy has said no replacement bus services will be provided. Infrastructure manager Bane NOR is expected to issue an update at 03:00 on Wednesday.
