A major track renewal project has suspended train services between Ringsted and Fredericia for an entire week, with buses replacing rail traffic across multiple sections of Denmark's main lines.
The work began Saturday afternoon and will continue until Sunday evening, July 19, covering the Great Belt Bridge, the corridor between Slagelse and Ringsted, and western Funen. DSB has deployed approximately 150 replacement buses operating on a first-come basis, with passengers warned that bicycles cannot be accommodated, though prams and folding wheelchairs are permitted.
Banedanmark says the renewal project is necessary to ensure more stable long-term rail operations. DSB has urged travellers to plan ahead and expect longer journey times throughout the affected week.
