Delayed track work forces replacement buses across Denmark

· Society DNK

Danish rail operator DSB is running replacement buses on key domestic and international routes on Monday after track maintenance work overran its schedule by roughly 24 hours.

Services between Odense and Fredericia are affected, with regular train operations expected to resume Tuesday morning. International trains linking Copenhagen with Hamburg, Berlin and Prague have also been replaced by buses for the day. Separately, work on the Ringsted–Slagelse line in Zealand was delayed by severe weather late Sunday, with buses operating there until trains can restart, projected for no earlier than 14:00 Monday.

Passengers holding non-flexible Orange or Orange Fri tickets valid for Monday or Tuesday may obtain a full refund without penalty, DSB said.
