Tottenham agree to loan goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to Juventus with option to buy

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to send goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to Juventus on a season-long loan with a non-mandatory purchase option valued at approximately £8.5 million.

Juventus turned to Vicario after negotiations for Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez collapsed when an £8.5 million bid was rejected. The Italian club moved quickly to secure the 28-year-old, who lost his starting place at Spurs under manager Roberto de Zerbi following the arrival of Martin Dubravka on a free transfer in July. Vicario, who underwent hernia surgery during the March international break, made 117 appearances after joining Tottenham from Empoli for £17.2 million in 2023.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa are close to completing a £29.9 million deal with Parma for Japan international goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
